The extraordinary quality of the leading and ensemble performances, the epic and heart rending score, the nuanced and at times challenging story telling, the wide open scenic design upon which to paint the skies and fields  of Iowa - this production felt special from the get go.  Nominated for ten Colorado Theater Guild Henry Awards, including Outstanding Lighting Design Tier 1.  This production ranks as one of those in which I mourn the ephemeral nature of live performance, wishing I could return to the theater to see it over and over again.
